Okay I need to talk about Disney. Not the rides. Not the churros. Not the $7 water bottles. The bag situation. Because if you've taken kids to Disney you know — the bag situation can ruin the whole day. I've seen women carrying backpacks the size of a small refrigerator. I've seen women with a purse AND a diaper bag AND a tote. I've seen women give up entirely and just shove everything into a stroller basket and pray. Last year was our first Disney trip with both kids. My daughter is four. My son is two. I packed like I was going to war. Because I was. Three water bottles. Sunscreen. Two packs of snacks — the puffs for the baby, the goldfish for the big one, because God forbid they eat the same snack. A spare outfit for my son because he was in the phase. Wipes. Hand sanitizer. My wallet. My phone. A portable charger. Band-aids. Two pacifiers because you always need a backup pacifier and if you don't bring a backup you will need a backup, that is the law. My husband looked at my crossbody bag and said "that's it?" That's it. He was carrying a drawstring backpack with his stuff. His stuff being: his phone, his wallet, and a pair of sunglasses. Must be nice to be a man at Disney. We walked into the park at 9 AM. We left at 9 PM. Twelve hours. I didn't take the bag off once. Here's what happened inside those twelve hours: I held my daughter's hand through every line. Both hands free. One on her, one on the stroller. I didn't let go to adjust a strap. I didn't have to switch shoulders. I didn't set anything down on a bench and forget it. My son's outfit lasted until 11:30 AM which honestly was longer than I expected. I reached into my bag, pulled out the spare outfit, changed him in a bathroom, and we were back in line in four minutes. My husband said "where did you even have that?" In the bag. Everything is in the bag. At 2 PM my daughter melted down because she wanted to meet Elsa and the line was ninety minutes. I reached into the bag. Goldfish. Crisis averted for fourteen minutes, which was enough for her to forget about Elsa entirely and become obsessed with a pigeon. At 6 PM my phone died. Pulled out the portable charger. It was in the side pocket where I put it at 8:55 AM and it hadn't moved because nothing in this bag moves. Everything stays exactly where you put it. At 8:45 PM we were waiting for fireworks. My daughter was on my husband's shoulders. My son fell asleep in my arms. I reached into my bag — one hand, eyes on the sky — and pulled out his sweatshirt. Put it over him without waking him up. My husband looked at me and said "how does all that fit in there?" I don't know. I genuinely don't know. I've stopped asking. It fits a gallon of milk. I've seen the videos. I believe them now. I believe them because I watched a crossbody bag hold my entire family's day for twelve hours without breaking a sweat while I walked 22,000 steps in 90-degree heat. We've done three trips since. I bring the same bag every time. I pack it the same way every time. And every time my husband looks at it and says "that's it?" and every time I say "that's it" and every time it holds everything and every time he's amazed and every time I think: you could also get one, babe. But I don't say it. I just zip it up and walk into the park with both hands free and my entire life across my chest. That's it. The bag: https://emmafy.com/products/gofree-the-roomiest-crossbody
