Noxgear ad: Brandy the runner

The year of shorter distances! I’ve already signed up for 3 races next year in the spring With the possibility of adding a 4th I just haven’t decided which distance I’ll want to tackle for the specific race! I have a 5k in Jan! A 5k in April and a half in may! The one race I’m debating is either a 10k or 15k in March. Part of me wants to see if I can improve on the 15k course but also I haven’t done a 10k since 2019. I haven’t planned much after that I kinda wanted to do those races and then have the summer to focus on not marathon training for once and working on that speed during those hotter months! I’m excited to see where I can get to! It’s not gonna come easy, there’s a lot of work to be put in. I also think taking time from the marathon while full time college student and mom is best for me cause I’m gonna always say it…. Marathon training requires sooo much of your time, I got hard courses coming up and with my current semester I learned I am not a girl that thrives taking 18 credits a semester I’ll never do that again lol (I’m passing but def hasn’t been easy balancing ) Once I get through my races in the spring I’ll decide what fall races to aim for, still staying with 13.1 and under. I kinda feel at ease a bit not training for 26.2, I’m sure I’ll have FOMO, but maybe I can spectate a race 🧐 that would honestly be soo much fun! I know if it wasn’t for the spectators of Chicago I wouldn’t have gotten through. Anyone else start planning races for next year? I’m actually really excited and hope I have a better racing year than this year. And hopefully this sickness get all gone so I can get back to training!!
