Shopify Product Exporter
Paste a Shopify store's website to see its products and download them as a spreadsheet, read from the store's own public product list.
How to use it
- Copy the Shopify store's website address.
- Paste it above and press Get products.
- Look over the list, then press Download CSV to open every product in Excel, Google Sheets or Numbers.
Where the products come from
Every standard Shopify store publishes its product catalogue at /products.json, the same list its own storefront uses. The exporter reads that list page by page, up to 1,000 products, and shows exactly what the store published.
What the CSV contains
One row per product: title, handle, lowest and highest variant price, highest compare-at price, vendor, product type, tags, the date the product was created, its link and its first image. Prices are in the store's own currency.
Why export a competitor's catalogue
A full product list shows how a store prices its range, which products it marks down (compare-at price), what it added recently and how it groups products with types and tags. Sorting by created date shows what a brand launched this season.
When no products come back
Some stores are not on Shopify, some turn off the public product list, and some briefly block automated reads. The exporter says which happened instead of showing an empty or made-up table.
What it does not show
Sales, stock levels and revenue are not in a store's public product list, so the export does not contain them. To see which products a store actually advertises and sells, open its AdLibrarySpy profile.
Questions
- Is it allowed to export a Shopify store's products?
- The exporter reads the product list the store makes public to every visitor. Use it for research. Copying another brand's product photos or descriptions into your own store can break copyright, so do not do that.
- Why are only 1,000 products exported?
- To keep the tool fast and fair for everyone. Most stores have fewer. For a bigger store, the first 1,000 are the most recently updated products.
- Can I import the CSV into my own Shopify store?
- It is not in Shopify's import format, and the products are not yours to import. It is a research file for spreadsheets.
