Before you buy a suitcase, ignore the colour for a second. Ignore the number of pockets too. Start with the design decisions that change how travelling actually feels. Does it give you one useful packing space or divide everything into two halves? Do the wheels keep up on cobblestones? Can you stop the case rolling away on a train? Can you lift it without wrestling it? That is the difference between luggage that photographs well and luggage that makes the whole trip easier.
