How we measure

Formats: Meta's own format label on every new ad of the week (start date as reported by Meta), as a share of all new ads. Video styles: a vision model watching each new video ad, counted only where it was confident (0.5 or more), as a share of the styled videos; a change is shown only when both weeks were styled by the same model at a similar coverage of new videos. The week before is the same days, as the index held them at the same point in that week. A list needs 50,000 new ads (5,000 in a niche).

Every number is a count of Meta ads in the AdLibrarySpy index (the ads of the online stores it tracks), not a census of all of Meta. A ranking with too little data behind it is not published.
