How we measure

The ad text (headline and body) of every new ad of the week (start date as reported by Meta). “Names a % discount” = text such as “50% off”; the named figure is counted (“up to 70% off” counts as 70). Free shipping, bundle, buy-one-get-one and Black Friday are phrase matches. Offer types are an AI model's confident reading of the ad text, as a share of the labelled ads; “No offer” counts in that whole but is never ranked. The week before is the same days, as the index held them at the same point in that week. A list needs 50,000 new ads (5,000 in a niche).

Every number is a count of Meta ads in the AdLibrarySpy index (the ads of the online stores it tracks), not a census of all of Meta. A ranking with too little data behind it is not published.
